A NEW ORLEANS STORY

Kristin’s father was a New Orleans federal prosecutor who put corrupt politicians in jail. When she was 6 years old, Kristin’s family home was burned down as retaliation against her father’s activism. No one fights corruption harder than Kristin Palmer.

Raised to Fight Corruption

A Young Community Organizer

Kristin got her start in politics working as a community organizer in low-income neighborhoods. The nonprofit she helped run has fixed up thousands of blighted homes for low-income families in our communities.

Protects Our Neighborhoods

As a mom of three daughters Kristin has fought hard to make sure our neighborhoods are places to raise families. She wrote the legislation that stops Airbnb from spreading through our neighborhoods and pushing out our longtime residents and small business.

Reformer & Civil Rights Advocate

Kristin is supported by New Orleans civil rights organizations and criminal justice reform advocates. She has worked tirelessly to stop the revolving prison-door system and to end hiring discrimination against residents who have already served their time.
